Gabriel Vukelic: Vocalist, Composer, and Educator
Gabriel Vukelić is a vocalist, composer, and music educator based on Long Island, New York. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and an Associate Degree in Music from Nassau Community College. Having studied classical voice for over a decade, Gabriel has developed a strong foundation in vocal technique, music theory, composition, and performance. His musical interests span classical vocal literature, sacred music, composition, and music education.
As both a performer and composer, Gabriel has spent years cultivating his craft through study, performance, and creative work. He has performed professionally as a singer and cantor for more than six years and has experience in both operatic and sacred music settings. His compositional work includes a complete Latin choral Mass written for church performance in Queens, portions of which have been performed by Queens College’s premier choir, the Vocal Ensemble. Through his studies in composition and theory, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of music’s structure, expression, and artistic possibilities.
Gabriel approaches music as a lifelong pursuit of growth and discovery. Having faced and overcome significant challenges in his own musical development, he understands that progress comes through patience, persistence, and thoughtful guidance. As a teacher, he strives to make music accessible, engaging, and rewarding for students of all backgrounds while sharing the enthusiasm and love for the art form that continues to inspire his own work as a musician.
